CAN’T STAND TO LOSE THE BLUES!

Dan Granero was born to play the blues. With a Fender Stratocaster in his hands since he was 3–years old, Dan was raised on a steady diet of blues, soul, roots, rock, reggae and gospel.

These days Dan spends his days touring the globe sharing his love of the masters – Hendrix, Vaughan, Clapton, Hooker, King – with the blues–rock faithful everywhere. His extensive touring experience has at last resulted in his scorching debut album “Cant Stand to Lose”.

You can preview some tracks on his website, and then go see the big fella live as he launches the album along the east coast throughout April / May.

A Celebration of Australian Surf Music

When surf music hit Australian shores in the 1960’s, it cascaded along with Hank Marvin, The Shadows, and the stinging sound of the Fender Stratocaster. A wave of Australian bands soon arose to give the surf sound its own distinctly Australian feel.

Delightful Rain’ is a unique CD/DVD, recorded at Freshwater Surf Club in May 2006, and bringing together many of the legends of Australian Surf Music.

The Jazzmaster turns 50!

Originally introduced in 1958, the Jazzmaster was supposed to do for jazz what the Stratocaster® and Telecaster® guitars were doing for rock ‘n’ roll. The plan didn’t quite work out that way—the instrument was largely ignored by players who stuck to their traditional hollow body guitars.

Yet somehow through the actions and reactions of unintended forces, the Jazzmaster guitar inspired sound and influence that is arguably as profound and certainly as eccentric as its better–selling brothers.

Over the course of its 50–year history, the Jazzmaster has been at the core of an eclectic and influential cross–section of musical genres ranging from surf to punk to new wave to electronic and indie and alternative.

New Classic Player Series

Vintage Broadcaster pickups, soft ‘V’-shaped necks, custom two-point “vintage” tremolo systems and custom wiring are not standard fare outside the walls of our Corona, California based Custom Shop. With the new Classic Player Series, not only do they come standard, they’re accessible to players who can’t sell out Wembley stadium.

We asked three of our Custom Shop Master Builders to design a “Custom Shop” worthy guitar that could be built in our standard production facility. They obliged to create three unforgettable instruments featuring vintage styling alongside some of the most popular (and inspiring) features and modifications they’ve built into their custom “one-off” instruments over the years.
